Information stored on your device

Clean Days may store information locally on your device, including your clean date and time, display preferences, custom counters, gratitude entries, affirmation favorites, personal affirmations, reminder preferences, favorite meetings, and other app settings.

This information is remains on your device and is never sent to Clean Days or shared with others.

Accounts and analytics

Clean Days does not require you to create an account.

Clean Days does not use advertising trackers. It does use any analytics to monitor how you use the app.

Location and Meeting Finder

If you choose to use the Meeting Finder, Clean Days may request access to your device location so it can search for nearby Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

Location information used for meeting searches may be sent to third-party services necessary to provide meeting and map functionality, including BMLT or your device’s map app.

Clean Days does not use your location to track your movements or build a location history.

You may also search for meetings by entering a city or address instead of using your current location.

Notifications

Clean Days may schedule notifications on your device for features such as clean-time reminders, gratitude reminders, and affirmation reminders. It may need certain permissions to schedule these notifications, but it does not send any information to Clean Days or other parties when it does so.

Notification preferences are stored locally on your device and use your device’s notification system.

External services and links

Some features open or communicate with third-party services, including:

• BMLT or related services for meeting information
• Map and geocoding services for meeting locations and directions
• Official recovery-reading websites and external reading links
• Venmo or another external service if you choose to use the optional Donate feature

When you use those services, information may be processed according to the privacy policies of those third parties.

Data sharing

Clean Days does not sell your personal information.

Clean Days does not operate a system for sharing your personal recovery information with advertisers, data brokers, or other users.

Information may be transmitted to third-party services only when necessary to perform a feature you choose to use, such as searching for nearby meetings or opening an external link. These features are optional.

Data retention and deletion

Information stored by Clean Days remains on your device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app.

Because Clean Days does not maintain a user account or database containing your recovery data, your information cannot be retrieved if you lose your device or uninstall the app.

Sensitive recovery information

Clean Days is intended to minimize collection of sensitive information. Your clean date, gratitude entries, personal affirmations, and similar recovery-related information are intended to remain locally stored on your device.

Children

Clean Days is not specifically directed to children. The app does not knowingly operate a system for collecting personal information from children. However, children may use Clean Days with parental supervision.

Security

Clean Days is designed to minimize privacy risk by avoiding unnecessary collection and avoiding centralized storage of personal recovery information. No software or device storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as Clean Days changes. If the app begins processing information in a materially different way, this policy will be updated accordingly.
